Balancing earnings and payments each month can cause serious headaches. Fortunately, computers make this task much easier, especially if you install the right applications. A good example is MoneyLine. You can use it to keep track of your incomes and expenses, manage your savings, generate reports and much more. The software has a clean design and its functionality is straightforward. In other words, you can manage your finances without encountering any kind of difficulties.

MoneyLine comes in a paid version and in a freeware one, for non-commercial use. The software is available for Windows and Mac OS X platforms and it can be installed in just a few seconds. Its hardware requirements are modest and you don't have to install any prerequisite tools.

Many finance programs are complicated and they usually burden you with countless menus and options. MoneyLine's user interface has a more efficient layout. All transactions are listed in the same table, on the main window and you can filter them by date range, fixed periods of time or by accounts. Options for creating new transactions, deleting or editing existing ones can be found on a toolbar, where you can find other ones, for creating new accounts, income and expense categories, payees and more.

You will still encounter a large number of input fields, when defining transactions, and you will have to create certain resources in separate menus, but you won't have any difficulties, like in other finance programs. If you take your time to create a few transactions, you will master MoneyLine's controls along the way. The specifications you make when adding transactions will appear in the table, on the main window, so it will be easy to figure out what information to insert and where.

In terms of functionality, the software is quite flexible. It allows you to work with several accounts and transfer money between them. For example, you can transfer money to a savings account. The transfer will appear in the same table, just like other transactions, and your current balance will be updated accordingly. All accounts are listed in a column, on the left side of the user interface, along with their balances. Additional options can be found in the same column. You can use them to generate various reports and perform other actions, like scheduling recurring transactions, reconciling accounts and more.

Pros

You can manage any kind of transactions, like earnings, expenses, money transfers and more. Transactions are listed in a logical manner and you can filter them in various ways. It is also possible to schedule recurring transactions, so you don't have to add them more than once.

Cons

There are no obvious drawbacks to address. MoneyLine places everything you need at your disposal, to manage and streamline your finances.
